In today’s Gospel, Jesus sends the Apostles to proclaim: “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” He commands them to heal the sick, cast out unclean spirits, bring peace, and give freely because they have freely received. This reflection invites us to contemplate the apostolic spirit of the Church: mission rooted in trust, detachment, mercy, and peace. In the light of Hosea’s tender image of God loving Israel as a child, we see that Christian mission begins from the heart of a Father who loves first, bends down to heal, and patiently calls His children back.
