Queen Anne's Lace Loose Watercolor Florals, Simple Masking Fluid Painting Tutorial, Wildflower Ideas

Patreon Page link:   / morgainerose_art   Hello everyone! This week's watercolour video is for this lovely Queen Anne's lace flower tutorial. This plant is also known as wild chervil or cow parsley in the UK, and is such a pretty white spray of fuzzy blooms, I think it lends itself really well to the masking fluid technique here. Equipment list: I'm using Millford brand watercolour paper, 100% cotton, 140lb weight, Cold Pressed, size a quarter imperial (roughly A3). To put down the masking fluid I am using a 'Masquepen' I purchased online from eBay, although I'm sure you can get them elsewhere online or from art stores! My colours today are: Ultramarine Blue, Raw Umber, Payne's Grey, and Perelyne Green, as well as a little White Gouache. All are Winsor & Newton brand tube colours. My brushes are: a Daler Rowney large Aquafine 'Skyflow' flat synthetic wash brush, size 2 inches; a pair of Pro Arte 'Sword' synthetic liner brushes size Small and Large; an Escoda Ultimo synthetic mop brush size 10; a Princeton Neptune small synthetic round brush size 4; and a Daler Rowney Aquafine synthetic fan brush size 2.
