Ferocious, powerful, desperate and dramatic, what other adjectives could describe Medtner's 9th sonata, "War Sonata" so well? One of his best sonatas, just listen to the climax coming at (7:09)... Yeah, amazing. This sonata has only one movement. This masterpiece has been written during the 1st World War.
