His Holiness also explains the difference between Deen-e-Hanif and Deen-e-Ilahi (The Religion of God). Main Points: There are 4 major monotheist religions in the world and each of these religions were established by a messenger sent by God. The practitioners of these religions must follow the Sharia (religious law) and believe in the principle theme: Tawheed (Oneness of God). However, there are people who did not accept any religion yet they believed in Tawheed. They are the ones who are practitioners of Deen-e-Hanif. To believe in the Divine Oneness of God and to endeavour to obtain God without the help of a religion is Deen-e-Hanif. It is mentioned in the Koran that in the beginning, mankind was one united nation (Ummat-e-Wahida) and in the end, when Imam Mehdi arrives, He will unite the humanity into one nation once again and eliminate all religions. His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi is calling humanity towards Deen-e-Hanif. Hindus, Sikhs, Christians as well as Muslims are all being given the invitation to settle God in their hearts instead of being perpetually stuck in the practises of the religion.
