Easy Homemade Lollipops are just a treat for kids. It's a fastest and easiest edible treat to gift. You can customize your lollipops in any shape, color and flavor with your favorite toppings and sprinkles. Try this recipe and let me know your experience in comment box. Ingredients: Lollipop mold Lollipop sticks 1 cups sugar 200 gm 90 ml or 3 oz light corn syrup 30 ml or 1/8 cup water 1 teaspoons extract of your choice (vanilla, mint, cinnamon, coconut, etc.) Food coloring- Optional Assorted sprinkles or Candy- Optional Special Equipment- Candy Thermometer Directions: - Gather the ingredients before start making lollipops. Insert the lollipop sticks into the molds. You can use parchment paper if you don't have mold. Fill a large bowl with ice water and set it aside. Add 1 cup (200 gm) sugar, Add 1/8 cup (30 ml) water and 90 ml (3 OZ) corn syrup in a small saucepan set over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Increase the heat to medium-high. After couple of minutes, sugar has dissolve. Once it's boiling, insert a candy thermometer. Candy temperature should reach 300 F (149 C), this is called the hard-crack stage. Once it reaches 300 F or 149 C, immediately transfer the saucepan to the ice water bowl to stop further cooking. Swirl the pan for 10 seconds in ice water bowl. Remove the pan from water and immediately add 1 teaspoon extract (any flavor) and food color if you want. Without wasting time, immediately start pouring syrup to the mold or pour the syrup onto the baking sheets if you don’t have mold. Press in the lollipop sticks into this. If the syrup gets too hard, re-warm it over medium heat or microwave it for 10-20 seconds. Add your choice of sprinkles or candies, you can lightly press the sprinkles. Let it cool completely until fully hardened, it takes at least 15 mins After 15 mins, they are hardened and coming off easily. Carefully peel off the lollipops from mold and keep in the glass or lollipops holder. lollipops are ready Cover them with plastic wrap to avoid stickiness. Repeat the process and cover rest all lollipops.
