Communicating Your Needs With Confidence
Graduate School can challenge you in many ways, which can sometimes lead to stress, balance issues, and more. This fall, the Office of Graduate Programs has partnered with UM-Flint's Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) to bring you practical workshops that will help you with many of these challenges. Have you ever experienced difficulties communicating your needs? Maybe you felt anxious about asking for help. Perhaps you weren't sure what words to use to express that need. Regardless of the reason, communicating your needs can be challenging and sometimes result in feeling unheard or misunderstood. However, with the right balance of confidence, emotional awareness, and assertive communication skills, we can make identifying and expressing our needs that much easier. Join CAPS to learn about how to communicate your needs in a way that supports confidence and builds connections!
