The Barnsley Barebones Uncovered by Dave Cherry
The Barnsley film historian, Dave Cherry, traces the history of one of Barnsleys oldest districts. The 'Barebones' He visits the Barnsley archives to study old maps and archive photos about the area which disappeared in the early 1970's He speaks to Paul Stebbing and Gillian Nixon from the Archives. Dave then interviews the ex-mayor, club owner and local character Peter Doyle who was brought up on the 'Barebones' and finds some unusual stories about life on this long forgotton district of the town.
