Abbiamo prodotto l'olio motore in laboratorio da zero: dalla formulazione chimica ai test
For a car to function properly, it needs excellent engine oil, a blend that lubricates, cools, and cleans the engine, reducing wear and protecting its various components. But what is engine oil, really? To find out, we visited the laboratories of the PETRONAS Global Research and Technology Center in Santena (Turin). Together with DeNa, we took a close-up look at the stages involved in creating different types of engine oil: chemical-physical and mechanical tests, followed by production and finally packaging. Obviously, behind these tests are years of work and research conducted by chemists and engineers who strive to create increasingly high-performance lubricants and fluids suited to different applications and engine types. 00:00 What is engine oil? 00:34 The chemical composition of engine oil 01:17 Additives: which ones to add and why they're essential 02:34 How to achieve the perfect chemical formulation: experiments 03:07 Mechanical engine tests: each engine oil has its own characteristics 04:01 Engine oil production: mixers 04:26 Packaging, the final stage of production Production company: Ciaopeople Executive creative director: Geopop Creative director: Andrea Moccia Video creator and face: Riccardo De Marco Authors: Frida Bonatti, Riccardo De Marco Video supervisor: Gabriele Lauria Advertising director: Giorgio Mennella Head of branded PM & production: Chiara Iovine Branded project manager: Bruno Russo Producer: Nelly Tarasco Head of creativity: Alessia Bonito Oliva Copywriter & creativity: Giulia Tofi Head of sales & talent management: Rosa Iuliano Senior sales Branded content: Valentina Giovannini Sales branded content: Martina Santoro Social media team: Sara Fusco, Anna Chiara Andolfi SEO team: Marzia Emilia Di Matteo, Ilaria Orzo Director, 3D, and Editing: Giacomo Spaconi Videographer and Editor: Federico Volpi #geopop #chemistry #engines
