The five young men died Jan. 26, 2008, when a BMW M5 Sedan driven by Ammirato flew off the end of the 1 1/2-mile long airstrip inside the private Jumbolair development in Anthony. The vehicle, which was traveling at an estimated 120 mph, launched more than 100 feet into the air and slammed into two trees. Now, all the trees are gone. The barren property is enclosed by a wooden fence. A black aluminum bench dedicated to Hime sits inside the enclosed area. The names of the young men are featured on round chest-high plates affixed to poles on the side of the road.
