Roanoke Rapids to Weldon Falls

A beautiful day on the mighty Roanoke River! We paddled the 5.7-mile section from Roanoke Rapids to Weldon and enjoyed every bit of it. We don't paddle the whitewater boats very often, but when we do, we always have a blast! This is a fantastic run for beginners that offers multiple small features to develop whitewater skills, wonderful scenery, lots of wildlife and of course the class-3 Weldon Falls at the takeout.
