Yaqi Harlequin Razor Review | Gillette Goodwill Homage | FIERCE and EFFICIENT • ♠️♦️♣️ ❤️

Well that packs a PUNCH! "Jokers" are WILD with this one! 1920's Gillette Goodwill - meet stainless steel! ♠️♣️♥️♦️ Yaqi Harlequin The New Harlequin razor was designed and developed around the Vintage Gillette Goodwill and I would say that it landed pretty close. The Vintage models all have their own personality - and the community that loves them are likely to either love or absolutely hate this adaption. Personally, I found this to be equally as aggressive as those early 1920's-1930's Gillette razors with a surprising amount of blade feel. The shave is VERY efficient, and for me, was at its smoothest at a shallow angle - with the steeper angles being a bit rougher and choppier. I wouldn't say it's REX level bite, but I would definitely classify this as a low-aggressive and medium to high efficiency (depending on the angle). This one took me by surprise as Yaqi usually stays pretty close to the medium aggressive range and buttery smooth profile - and this seemed a bit harsher to be frank. The build, as has become the norm for the YAQI stainless series of razors, is exquisite. The Diamond cap fits tight to the diamond stamped base, and each piece has been meticulously mirror polished. The Baseplate teeth are smooth and deburred which makes it comfortable to the touch. There is no wobble to the parts and they clamp down very securely. Being upfront here - I wanted to love the shave as much as I do the way this thing LOOKS! Truly a beauty that will stand out in any collection and last for many generations to come. I really enjoyed this shave - but I can definitely say I will pause next time and make sure to take extra care not to press with this razor. Shavers beware here - this Harley Quinn brings the HEAT!
