Behind my workshop, I'm building a covered area. I'll show you step by step how I assemble the basic structure from KVH timber and explain each step with a voiceover. I've already paved the area and installed five point foundations. I've embedded H-anchors in the front foundations. On the wall where the purlin structure will be built, I'm using U-anchors for added stability. The posts are also anchored to the wall with injection anchors. The majority of the structure consists of 10x10 cm KVH beams, while the rafters measure 6x8 cm. In the next part, I'll show you how I solder a gutter for the first time, attach the roof battens, and finally install the trapezoidal metal roofing.
