O que é potencial químico? (Fundamentos de termodinâmica)

This video presents the definition of chemical potential, one of the most important concepts in physical chemistry. The mathematical definitions, the interpretation of the reason for this name and the use of this concept to explain the flow of gases from high pressure regions to low pressure regions and the solvent from a less concentrated solution to a more concentrated solution (osmosis) are presented. At constant pressure and temperature, the chemical potential can be defined as the molar Gibbs free energy (for pure substances) and partial molar free energy (for mixtures). However, it is possible to present different definitions for the chemical potential under different conditions, such as constant volume, constant entropy, etc.
