Chapter 2 in our TDE (The Dark Eye) campaign Nurvana. We loose two players (Grognak and Ysmail) way to early... Lyrics: [Prologue] White cliffs held their breath that day, old bones beneath the sand. We followed light below the earth, with dust on every hand. The valley did not bar the way, it opened like a wound. And somewhere in the hollow stone, the sleeping sun was moved. [Verse I] Then teeth came running through the dust, and blood wrote names in red. A giant crossed the killing ground with storm clouds in his head. A door of shadow swallowed light, a cave became a throne. One breath was weighed, one oath was cut, one heart came back unknown. [Pre-Chorus] Do not lift a star through darkness. Do not teach the void to see. What burns between the worlds will call what should not come to be. [Chorus] Raise the shield, let the pale wolves run. Hold the line beneath the dying sun. Stone and fire, blood and bone, stand as one, but stand alone. [Verse II] Then silence knelt before his crown, and lesser nightmares fled. Eight horns rose above the smoke, three embers for the dead. He did not howl, he did not rage, he weighed the world in flame. And every blade and prayer we had was swallowed by his name. [Battle Rise] Blood struck deep. Earth rose high. Shadow spread its dragon wing. Iron burned. Ice broke. Fire learned to sing. For one breath, the valley shook. For one breath, the dark drew back. For one breath, we were thunder on the edge of being cracked. [Fall] Not enough. Not enough. The crown remained. The shield grew thin. The wolves still ran in circles, but the night was pressing in. [Bridge] Open, stone, and take them down. Hide their hearts below. Let the living pass beneath me. Let the buried rivers know. If this is where the road must end, then let my name be dust.
