Surprisingly Beautiful Ancient City of Laodicea | Well-Preserved Ruins | Denizli, Turkey | Oh So Pom

The surprisingly beautiful ancient city of Laodicea located in Denizli, Turkey was one of the most well-preserved Greco-Roman ruins I've had the chance to see so far in Turkey. The church of Laodicea is one of the seven churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation and is an important site for Christians. But regardless of its religious importance, this ancient city is worth the visit for all of the wonderful unearthed treasures. Located near the famous travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis, Laodicea is a stop not to be missed if you're already planning a visit to these better known sites.
