Bombay (Director - Mani Ratnam, Starring – Arvind Swami, Manisha Koirala) composed by AR Rahman. Besides Manisha Koirala (Lead actress in both) these two films had another common factor – singer Kavita Krishnamurti. She was called to sing just an Alaap for the BGM of Bombay. But she was chosen to sing two more songs. Kavita Krishnamurti recalls that how after listening to the songs of Rahman’s debut film Roja she had wished to sing for him. That’s when she received a call from Rahman.
