Suisse Train Bleu an der Isenburger Schneise und im Frankfurter Hbf

At the turn of the year, the Suisse Train Bleu traveled to Frankfurt. So, of course, Mrs. BeuteZug and I were there. First, the special train was parked at the Isenburger Schneise, which is located on the Main-Neckar Railway in southern Frankfurt, where the branch to the Forsthaus is located. The Suisse Train Bleu was also supposed to run via that branch so that it could reach the main station via Niederrad. After all, the train was intended for track 3, which is not accessible from the Main-Neckar Bridge. So, a small detour via Niederrad was taken and it finally reached the main station on track 1. Finally, we see the blue train being shunted off. Meanwhile, there was much more to see at the Isenburger Schneise: ICEs, freight trains (including a DHL train), and various regional and express trains. Between Frankfurt and the Odenwald, there are also a few special trains to see here, namely Itino multiple units. These (like the Regio-Shuttle) were developed by Adtrans. Unlike the Regio-Shuttle, however, the Itinos are two-car. After Adtrans was acquired by Bombadier, the Regio-Shuttle was transferred to Stadler, and the Itinos were no longer widely sold. A total of only 57 units were built, of which 30 are in operation in Sweden. The remaining multiple units run from Frankfurt and Hanau to the Odenwald region.
