Full Company of Dancers and Live Orchestra at Terazije Musical Theatre Artistic director: Srboljub Ninković SERBIAN WEDDING DANCE FROM KOSOVO Serbian people in Kosovo, in the vicinity of the town Gnjilane, which is located in the region of Kosovsko Pomoravlje, have since ancient times had a traditional sequence of songs and dances for the wedding ceremony. The characteristic initial dance is the dance of the mother-in-law who holds a sieve and bread in her hands which symbolize happiness and wealth. Female dances follow, then rough male dances and finally, the choreography ends with a jolly dance called 'Šliovački čačak'.
