Custom JOKER Figure Part 2: How To safely dismantle the NECA Dracula base body for the Joker figure!

For those frustrated collectors who wish to try and custom craft their own Nicholson Jokers, know that you will need to take the NECA Dracula apart. Please keep questions limited to this phase, the breaking down of the Dracula. There will be painting video followups soon for other further questions! Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any accidents, or errors in judgement regarding knives, boiling hot water, or the act of simply pulling the parts off the body of YOUR figures. If you choose to do this, it is your responsibility alone! BE CAREFUL and take your time! I did it, you can too! OK, the video speaks for itself. I am sorry the water cooled so fast that I couldn't get the feet to actually remove, but had I not been talking, I would have had them off in minutes. Reheat the water and continue if needed. Also, if you are confident in your taking apart the Dracula figure, remove the calves at the knees and thighs at the waist joints also. This will give you total access to all sections of all parts. Once reassembled, be prepared for some rubbing off of paint in some locations as they fit very snugly and can rub. If possible, trim the unseen undersides of where parts fit into, so there is less contact. But, only if you are careful and sure you can do this kind of delicate trimming. Again, I am not responsible for anyone mangling their own figure, or fingers! Period. As for the upcoming painting video(s), I use Vallejo acrylics and spray the parts (usually while apart) with Mr Hobby Mr Super Clear MATT spray. This helps protect the paint, and seal the work, and, very importantly, help it NOT look like plastic! In those videos I will be showing exact colors and shades of paint used. I cannot show all the paint techniques and tricks, due to time and the limitations of my camera system, but I can show what I can, so look for a limited painting info video soon. Again, please try to keep all questions at this point, limited to this take-apart information only. The breakdown of any figure is a lot of information in and of itself, and I want to make sure anyone feels safe doing it. You can always try a practice run with a figure that does not matter to you, just to get the feel of heating and taking a figure apart. Some figures have tighter joints than others, and can be harder to take apart. Do not fret! Simply use more heat and more time. They all come apart eventually. See the number of repainted Batman figures I've done videos of, and tell yourself, "He had to take every one of these apart to paint them!" Yes. That is correct. I have done this a lot. So brave customizer, have at it and the very best of luck! The Joker of your dreams is in reach! For now, Les out! 2/24/26
