Rod Scribner (1910-1976) Was An American Animator from the golden age of American Animation he's well known for his work on Looney Tunes And Merrie Melodies from 1937-1955, His animation journey at WB began in 1937 were he was part of friz frelengs staff for a while until he became an animator for Ben Hardaway & Cal Dalton's Unit From 1937-1940 were he would work on a plethera of cartoons including shorts featuring a character later known as Bugs Bunny anyways as he worked on that unit he also worked at the newly established Chuck Jones Unit Were Scribner animated on some of Chuck Jones Earliest Shorts After That He'd Leave Jones Unit In and the Dissolved Hardaway and Dalton Units To Work For Tex Avery Who he worked with from 1940 until Avery's Departure From Warner Bros In 1941, Him and a couple of other animators would work under Bob Clampett (who took over Avery's unit once he left) were most of his most noticable work can be found he worked on the Clampett Unit From 1941 until Clampett Left In 1945 after Clampett Left He'd Work A Few More Of Clampett Shorts Until 1946 when Art Davis Took Over Scribner Would Later Begin Working For The Mckimson Unit Were His Work Became More On Model, He Was Let Go Of The Warner Bros Animation Division In 1953 when the studio was briefly Shut down he didn't return to the studio once it reopened after being let go from the studio he began working for The United Productions Of America "UPA For Short" were he worked on several TV commercials and productions through out the early to late 50's once he left UPA in the late 50's he'd start Working For Ralph Bakshi's Animation Studio In 1972 were he along with several other animation veterants on "Fritz The Cat" After Working On Fritz The Cat he would began working for a former colleague of his "Bill Melendez" Were he worked on several Movies Starring Characters From Charles Schultz Popular Comic Strip The Peanuts Some of the films he worked on were "Snoopy come home (1972)" and "Race For Your Life Charlie Brown (1977)" the latter film would be his final production realesed a year after his death in 1976 were he died of tuberculosis . . . he was 66 years Old.
