Connectors: International Speakers Series – Kitty Scott | The Power Plant

Tune in for a talk with Kitty Scott, leading Canadian curator and inaugural speaker of our new public talk series, Connectors: International Speakers Series, happening on March 27, 2026. Scott offered an in-depth look at Does the flower hear the bee?—her acclaimed exhibition at Shanghai’s Power Station of Art for the 15th Shanghai Biennale. Drawing on ideas of interspecies communication and emerging understandings of how bees and flowers exchange information, Scott outlined the curatorial vision behind the Biennale, which explores new forms of sensorial connection between artwork, audience, and environment. Her presentation highlighted the exhibition’s focus on the intersections of human and non-human intelligence, as well as the mutual dependencies between art, nature, and perception.
