Sulfuric Acid From A Car Battery
After a few years, one of my 12 V lead acid car batteries has effectively died, and I thought it was about time to recycle it. Before recycling however, we can extract the sulfuric acid from the cells, and store it for later use. We manage to get about 3L of ~35% acid from the battery, but must keep in mind the lead contamination in the future. Hopefully I'll be able to distil it at some point, which will obviously remove all the contained lead.
