XURetro XU20 V32: Is This Budget Android Handheld Any Good?
I've been testing the XU20 V32 from XU Retro, a $50 Android handheld with some interesting surprises. CORRECTION & UPDATE: A big thank you to the community for pointing out an error in my review. I incorrectly identified the face buttons as microswitches. They are in fact membrane buttons. My mistake came from my hands-on experience; to me, they feel surprisingly "clicky" and responsive, even more so than the buttons on my Trimui Brick. This led me to the wrong conclusion. My apologies for the confusion, and I appreciate everyone for keeping me accurate! I spent time with this translucent model and found some things that might surprise you. But should you actually buy one? The build feels different than you'd expect for fifty bucks. The screen has some interesting qualities. And there are some quirks with the controls and setup that could matter depending on what you want to play. How does it compare to the TrimUI Brick? Can it actually handle N64 and PSP games? And what's the deal with that SD card situation? LINKS XU Retro Software Page: https://www.xuretro.com/blogs/news/sh...
