How to grow Echinacea from Seed (Purple Coneflower) (Echinacea Purpurea)

A short video on my method for how to start, germinate , plant, and grow Echinacea / Coneflower from seed. I've grown dozens of these over the years, and I've always had very high germination rates. I have never cold-stratified this particular Echinacea, and I typically cover it with about 1/8" (3 mm) to 1/4" (6mm) of soil. I generally see this plant costing $8-$10 in garden centers/big box stores. Well, for about $2.50 you can buy a pack of 100-200 seeds. It is a strong, hardy plant that blooms for a long time in the right conditions (Full sun). It is pretty drought tolerant too, as the roots go well over 3' (1m) down into the soil.
