네가 아니라, 그때의 내가 그리웠다

For a long time, I thought it was you I missed. Whenever the seasons changed, I remembered the streets we used to walk. When a song we loved came on, your name came to mind on its own. Even the urge to reach out late at night — I believed it meant I hadn't let you go. But it wasn't that I wanted to see you again. What I missed wasn't the time you were in. It was the person I used to be, living inside that time. Someone who laughed long at the smallest things, who looked forward to tomorrow without trying, who never found it tiresome to ask how one person was doing. Someone who gave without counting, who knew love could hurt and still never put it off. I think every time I remembered you, I was remembering that person too. I thought the only thing I lost when love ended was you. But perhaps I had lost the person I was back then, as well.
