It took adding a buffer between the marble selectors and the display gate and a new big wheel (and lots and lots of fiddling) but it works! I'll probably move the buffer up a bit so I have more time to roll the marbles down to the display and will need to rethink the clutch so it doesn't desync the clock every time it trips to make it more reliable as this will need a twin to show the tens of seconds and finally be integrated with the original marble clock. But now that summer is almost (in this hemisp)here I'll take a break to tackle a couple of summer projects like the motorbike that I brought to Maker Faire Prague (video will be up in a couple of weeks tops).
