Growing up in Charleston
On Thursday, March 17, 2016, Jerry Waters presented “Growing Up in Charleston and Other Lesser Known Facts” in the Archives and History Library of the Culture Center in Charleston. Jerry Waters was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia, on the back side of town, and he has been a sailor, radio announcer, newspaper photographer, and fire department captain. He talked about Charleston from the perspective of those experiences and included a number of images in his presentation.
