Argentina has historically been a country that receives immigrants. In the early days of the nation, the invitation of foreigners to populate the country, especially those of European origin, was an explicit policy. But the country also experiences cyclical periods of political and economic crisis that lead many Argentinians to emigrate. Alone or with their families.
