After two nights of fighting there was quiet in Iran. Incredibly, there is still talk from the American side about diplomacy? Hormuz, as usual, remains the major sticking point in the present. In the meantime, Turkey is being recognized as a possible bigger strategic threat than Iran. Add to this, Israel, while still looking for help from other nations, now sees India as their possible Savior. US says it is giving diplomacy with Iran a chance while keeping strike option ready (Iran International) WSJ: Hormuz Clause Derails Trump-Iran Agreement (Newsmax) As Iran fades, Turkey emerges as Israel's biggest strategic threat (Jerusalem Post) India is Israel's insurance policy in a post-American world (Israel HaYom) As we note every day, each of these major headlines is consistent with the predictions of Scripture as to what our world will look like in the last days... Amazing, but not surprising... Headline 1 US says it is giving diplomacy with Iran a chance while keeping strike option ready (Iran International) In other words, the new normal remains. Iran will be weakened to the place that it cannot immediately disrupt the shipping in Hormuz but beyond that nothing will get done with respect to their uranium and nuclear program seeing that they are only hardening their position. Remember the definition of insanity! Doing the same thing over and over again and think it may work! This is what we have here... Headline 2 WSJ: Hormuz Clause Derails Trump-Iran Agreement ...The disagreement centers on Paragraph 5 of the agreement, which assigns Iran responsibility for restoring commercial shipping through the strait while calling for future talks with Oman over its administration. U.S. officials viewed the language as requiring Iran to reopen the passage, while Tehran has interpreted it as recognition of Iran's authority over the waterway. A U.S. official familiar with the negotiations told the outlet the two sides are on "different planets" over the clause's meaning. Different planets indeed! That’s why we warned against signing some deal that was so vague that each side could claim that it means this or that, while nothing is specifically spelled out... The irony of this is that the Hormuz issue was not a problem before the fighting began on February 28. The goals of the United States have not been reached as there is seemingly no possibility that they will. Iran will still have enriched uranium where it can make a weapon, its missile program will be rebuilt, while somewhat neutralized, its terrorist network remains... Therefore, at the end of the day, we will have a weakened Iran that still has the same goals of the ultimate goals of destruction of Israel and the United States. Headline 3 As Iran fades, Turkey emerges as Israel's biggest strategic threat According to Scripture, both Iran and Turkey will be strategic threats against Israel in the last days. However, they will only be secondary to Russia. What is fascinating about this is that a few decades ago Iran was Israel’s best friend in the Middle East and Turkey was the place Israelis took their vacations. Now, as Scripture has predicted, each have become mortal enemies. This is to be expected. What still has to happen is Russia, freeing itself from the war in Ukraine, to flex its muscles in the Middle East as the US fades from view. Turkey will certainly be a player, and a huge one, but not the biggest threat. Headline 4 India is Israel's insurance policy in a post-American world We should again note how Israel is constantly trying to find some superpower to latch on to. While the United States is helping them in the present, both countries realize that this will not be the case long term. Two things are important to recognize...the world is definitely moving towards the specific scenario that the Bible lays out for the last days. There is no doubt about this. However, it also must be recognized that the pace for these things to happen takes time. This is why we must be careful not to listen to anyone who claims that the timing is soon... right around the corner. It is not...
