DIY Kiteboarding Kite Repair for Major Damage

I repaired another kite! So I tried to update the video quality a bit with a 2nd video. Hope this one is more watchable and maybe more clear! This method has worked well for me, and I would recommend for cheaper kites that may otherwise end up in a landfill. As a disclaimer, I am not liable for any damage you cause to your property by following these instructions. This is just informational. Hope it helps! I would estimate about $15 and 2 hours of labor for someone like me to complete this repair. Not too bad! Cheap enough that I can justify keeping my loaner kites up in the air! Steps: 1. Using the packing tape method, align the 2 sides of the tear. 2. Apply ripstop tape centered on the tear. 2b. Flip the kite over and apply ripstop tape to the 2nd side. 3. Apply Dacron tape to the trailing/leading edge as needed. 4. Using a zigzag stitch, sew up the kite. Materials: Ripstop/Sail Tape https://fixmykite.com/proddetail.asp?...
