Duke First Sergeant Review – Vintage GI Joe Is Back

In this video I'm opening Duke: First Sergeant from the new G.I. Joe ReAction+ line, and this figure immediately brought back memories of the vintage O-ring figures I grew up with. One of the coolest things about this release is how much it pulls from the classic G.I. Joe cartoons and the MASS Device mini-series. Duke even comes with the Cobra brainwave scanner headpiece that was used when Cobra tried to control his mind. The figure has the classic O-ring construction that made the original G.I. Joe figures so much fun, but with updated articulation and modern durability. It feels like a love letter to the vintage line while still being its own thing. My biggest complaint is the thumbs. Super7 reinforced them, which is great for durability, but it can make getting weapons into the figure's hands more difficult than it was on some of the original figures. Even with that issue, this was a fun figure to open and pose, and it does a great job capturing the feeling of classic G.I. Joe collecting. ⭐ Check out my G.I.
