Today we're taking a look at two British classics from Gecko Models in 1:35 scale, which surprise with details like a complete interior and extremely realistic cast textures. Stay tuned, because Christian will also show you a brilliant trick for photo-etched parts! British military history in 1:35 scale: Matilda I & Bedford OYD Truck from Gecko Models! 🇬🇧 Today on Model Building King, we're unboxing two very special treasures from Gecko Models. We're taking a detailed look at the Matilda I infantry tank and the versatile Bedford OYD truck. The highlights in this video: Matilda I (A11): An unusual design that, despite its small size, boasts an interior and fantastic surface textures. Originally developed as a heavily armored support vehicle for the infantry, this model showcases early British tank concepts. Bedford OYD Truck: The reliable 3-tonner of the British Army! We'll show you the version with a metal body, including engine details and an extremely realistic-looking tarpaulin. Pro tip: Check out Christian's "trick 17" for working with delicate photo-etched parts that are "wrapped" in foil! The Matilda I (A11) was the first British tank design of the 1930s specifically conceived as an infantry tank. Despite its heavy armor, it was poorly armed with only one machine gun and very slow, which quickly pushed it to its limits in the chaotic war of 1940. The Bedford OY was one of the most produced British trucks of the Second World War. Over 70,000 were manufactured between 1939 and 1945. It was the backbone of logistics and was used in countless variants well into the 1950s. The items shown are available here in our shop: 👉 35GM0063 British Infantry Tank Mk.
