Webinar: Mitigation Planning Policy Update
This 20-minute session provides a high-level overview of State and Local Hazard Mitigation Planning guidance, and shares information on how you can provide feedback on existing policies. Effective mitigation planning develops long-term strategies for protecting people and property from future events. Mitigation plans are key to breaking the cycle of disaster damage, reconstruction, and repeated damage. Both the State and Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Review Guides are set to update in 2020 to 2021. Plan Review Guides are the FEMA’s official interpretation of Title 44 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Section 201.4-7.
