Russian Cabbage Pie

Pies can be sweet and savory. This pie is one of those childhood comfort foods that bring sweet memories of freshly baked goods. there is something very special about freshly baked bread, right! This is quick (quick for a bread making) pie that requires yeast pillowlike dough and lots of sautéed vegetables. Please follow m eon my Instagram Page   / lulis.homestead   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Recipe: Dough- 1 cup warm milk 3.5 cup flour 1 Table spoon sugar 0.5 tea spoon salt 2 Table Spoons dry yeast 1 egg 1/2 stick melted butter (50 gr) Filling- 1/2 head cabbage (about 1lb) 1 med size carrot 1 med size onion 2 Table Spoon tomato sauce (or 1 table spoon tomato paste) 1 teas spoon sugar 1 teas spoon salt 0.5 tea spoon pepper dill or other herbs to taste ~~~~~~~~ egg wash on top Bake 350F for 40-45 min
