If there's one thing we know about cars that we grew up with, it's that they have just as much sentimental value as their actual value. For Mike at Fast Monty's Garage, the theme rings true. Mike's dad bought this Pontiac GTO brand new back in '69 during his time in the Navy, and Mike has been a part of this car's history since his own birth. As with all old things, the car aged and needed renewing. So Mike learned the tools of the trade all on his own and has completely restored it with many modern upgrades. He did almost all of the work on the car himself, from the body down to the drivetrain. (Only the upholstery was done by someone else.) The car was originally midnight green, but it is now "2am green" as Mike affectionately calls it.
