A Day at Retro Rides 2026: Amazing Builds, Great People & One Heartbreaking Fire

This video captures the start of what was meant to be a really special weekend with my little boy. We spent the weekend cruising around in the Fiesta, catching up with friends, staying in a caravan, and heading to Retro Rides on Saturday. We also visited the Classic Ford Show on Sunday, but that'll be coming in the next video! Sadly, while I was editing this video, I received some heartbreaking news. My mate Arron's workshop had been completely destroyed by a devastating fire. The beautiful Sierra Estate you see in this video is gone, along with all of his other cars, projects, tools, parts and years of hard work and memories. As anyone who's ever owned a workshop, garage or business will know, this is an absolute nightmare scenario. Arron has always been the sort of bloke who'd rather get on with things than ask for help, and even though he said he didn't want anything, I wanted to use this video to send a little support his way. Seeing how the car community has rallied around others in the past, like the incredible support shown by the Drift Games community, reminds me just how amazing enthusiasts can be when someone is going through a tough time.
