Riding Around Llyn Vyrnwy… Until the Road Was Closed! | Royal Enfield Hunter 350 | Part 4

The Bank Holiday Weekend Ride continues with a visit to one of Wales’ most iconic destinations—Llyn Vyrnwy. In this episode, I arrive at the spectacular Victorian dam and the famous Straining Tower before setting off to ride around the reservoir on my Royal Enfield Hunter 350, affectionately known as the Pocket Rocket. The route offers incredible scenery, peaceful forest roads and sweeping views across the water, making it easy to see why Llyn Vyrnwy is such a popular destination for motorcyclists and visitors alike. Unfortunately, the plan to complete a full circuit of the lake is interrupted by an unexpected road closure. While the loop can’t be completed, it provides the perfect opportunity to slow down and appreciate the stunning surroundings instead. I take a short break on the dam to enjoy the panoramic views across the reservoir before looking downstream into the dramatic valley below—one of the most impressive viewpoints anywhere in Mid Wales.
