Flextail Zero Pump Test – Worth It or Waste of Money?

In this video I test the Flextail Zero Pump ultralight electric pump to see if it can properly inflate my sleeping pad. I bought it from China for almost half the normal retail price, and honestly I was really excited because the design is super compact, lightweight, and perfect for monopacking. I compare it directly against the manual inflation bag that came with my ultralight Light Tour Inflatable Pad R 7.5 sleeping pad to see which method is faster and more effective. Unfortunately, after running the electric pump for around 10 minutes, the mattress still wasn’t fully inflated. The manual pump bag managed to do a much better job in only about 2 minutes. Even though I love the concept and portability, I personally can’t recommend this version because the pressure just isn’t strong enough for a proper setup. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any ultralight electric pumps for camping and which ones actually work well.
