Arrival at Sagittarius A* after a year of exploration, almost kill myself five minutes later

EDIT : I made it safely back to the Bubble in July 2017    • Escort of explorer safely back into the Bu...   I departed Sol on Christmas Day 2015 on an exploration voyage toward Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of our Milky Way galaxy, 25.900 light years away from Earth. My badly battered ship finally arrived on 1 januari 2017. 3:01 Curiosity got the better of me and I got too close to the black hole and dropped out of warp. 4:24 Trying to get back into warp and out of the danger zone I made more mistakes (I didn't realize my thrusters were still in reverse) and panic set in. 5:07 Got into warp by the skin of my teeth but overheating is already at 173% 5:21 185% overheating, modules taking massive damage and canopy begins to crack. If it shatters I'm a dead man. 5:25 188 % overheating. Modules failing left and right 5:47 Down to 6 % hull but overheating beginning to decrease 6:03 Overheating drops below 100%. I'm in the clear Survived with a 64% cracked canopy, badly damaged modules and just 2% hull left. Fortunately I brought some repair kits to fix the worst damage.
