Mount Kenya Conquered Once Again
Mount Kenya (August 1994) - Mount Kenya has been of great importance for thousands of years; it inspired awe in all those lucky enough to see it, from the very first Homo sapien tribes to the men who helped to bring Kenya to independence. It is the second largest mountain in Africa, and the mountain climbers who reach its peak are among the best in the sport. Subscribe to Journeyman here: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_c... Munyao Kisoi was the first Kenyan African to officially climb Mount Kenya. He gained national recognition for the feat, playing an integral role in Kenya's independence five years later. Now thirty years after his original climb, he is returning to raise the flag at the peak once more. His skill in overcoming the difficult and sometimes deadly obstacles of the forbidding mountain makes it clear why this shy, self-effacing man is such an impressive athlete and such a hero to his people.
