FREE Pattern! Star Bright Jelly Roll Christmas Tree Skirt - How to Piece It - 12 Makes of Christmas

For our 10th Make of Christmas we are starting a series, within a series. Today we will go over how to piece my new FREE pattern, the Star Bright Jelly Roll Christmas Tree Skirt. Then tomorrow we'll cover how to quilt it and wrap up with how to create and sew on bias binding to cover those curved edges on Saturday. As the name suggests, one jelly roll will make one 50-inch diameter tree skirt. We are going to strip piece the diamonds and use a 60-degree ruler to offset the start of the strip rows to make the most of the fabric. While I wouldn't suggest this project for a true beginner, it isn't too hard. So a confident beginner ready for a challenge or intermediate quilter could make it without becoming a sweary sewist.
