Andi Manzano and GP Reyes: A Lovely Wedding in Baguio

Just like when I was a kid, trips to Baguio are few and far between. These days we almost exclusively travel there to work. Which is a shame really since it’s still such a pretty place to decompress. Andi and GP’s getaway wedding was in the Summer Capital and it couldn’t have been any more perfect. Friends and family trooped to the mountains to share the big day with the couple. I got the feeling that they could have had the venue in a far flung remote area and the turnout would have been the same. Everybody was just happy and excited. Preps started really early. But nothing can jumpstart a filmmakers eye and mind more than a pretty face. And boy, Andi needed all sorts of new definitions for pretty. She was just positively radiant. And her family so warm. We sought to film the event with the intention of taking away the pomp and finding the core. The visuals are subtle but powerful. – the couple’s banter, dad’s emotions, mom’s attachment.
