How to Throw Plates with a ROLLING PIN
In this video, you'll learn how to throw a plate on the wheel using a rolling pin. It's a clever technique that will challenge your understanding of wheel throwing. I saw @matthew_fitzsimmons demonstrate this and I had to give it a try. It makes your plates very flat and there is little to no water needed. However, I don't think this technique will ever replace the traditional way of throwing a plate but it's different and fun. One benefit is that you can reuse the clay right away and the plates are already drier from lack of wheel throwing water. Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
