Call for migrants' rights to be respected
A group of 130 civil society organisations under the name Siyafana Sonke says the anger over unemployment and collapsing services is being misdirected at vulnerable migrants, while political and economic elites remain unaccountable. Siyafana Sonke Action Campaign's Professor Lubna Nadvi says that, as much as they believe South Africans' concerns are valid, migrants' human rights must be respected.
