Over Consumption & Pressure In The Art & Craft World - We Need To Do Better - A Rant

Today's video is a little different, while I will be doing a tutorial, I'll also be talking about a worrying trend I'm seeing in the art & craft community. I believe this trend is wide-spread - whether it be in the Mixed Media, Card making, Stamping, Scrapbooking, Adult Coloring Colouring, Junk Journals, Diamond Art, etc . The pressure for crafters and artists to have all the supplies, all the new releases is getting too much. The over consumption and over consumerism is over taking the hobby with sometimes the focus being on look what came in the mail - rather than look what I made with said supplies. I believe our communities should support each other to feel okay with using what we have, encouraging one and other to live within our means - not beyond it. The joy should be using what we have, not just what comes in the mail. I know it is exciting to get new art supplies - but we should not be encouraging others to live beyond their means just because we are fans of a certain company or person.
