Assyrian History Class #32 The Setting today

Assyrian History Class #32: The Setting today Taught by Robert DeKelaita Last lecture of the 2022-2023 Assyrian History Class series. Topics covered are: · Assyrian Political, Cultural, Linguistic, Religious, and Social movements · Social media and its impact · Changes in family structure Today, over 9 out of 10 Assyrians live outside of their homeland. They have formed political, cultural, and educational associations and adhered to their religious institutions and culture, but also, in certain cases, surrendered to assimilation and perished. With the rise of greater communication abilities through the virtual world of the internet, there exists an opportunity to maintain and strengthen the now-dispersed Assyrian nation. In this final class, we examine the various efforts of Assyrian individuals and organizations and their impact on the Assyrians.
