In the darkest hours before His arrest, our Lord Jesus Christ did not think of Himself, but lifted His eyes to heaven and uttered an eternal prayer. John, chapter 17, records the direct and heartfelt words of the Savior of the world at the Last Supper. Many believe that Jesus only prayed for the eleven disciples at the table, but the blessed Word of God reveals to us in verse 20 a soul-stirring truth: “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word.” That includes you!
