Fossil Hunting This Missouri Road Cut Was Unreal

Today I joined the Missouri Fossil Hunters Club for an incredible day fossil hunting at a Missouri road cut, and the fossils were absolutely everywhere. In this video we uncover ancient marine life that once lived in the ocean covering Missouri hundreds of millions of years ago, including cephalopods, gastropods, sea sponges, brachiopods, and fossil algae. Some of these fossils are around 450 million years old and came straight out of the rock wall during the hunt. This turned into one of the best road cut fossil hunts I’ve had in a long time. If you enjoy fossil hunting, geology, rockhounding, ancient sea life, and prehistoric discoveries, make sure to subscribe because there’s plenty more adventures coming soon. Special thanks to Medium.com — here is the link to their amazing article on cephalopods that I mentioned in the video.   / the-rise-of-the-cephalopods-a-journey-thro...   And Also be sure to check out Missouri Fossil Hunters on Facebook , an amazing group with amazing people   / missourifossilhunters
