Which Side of the Beacon?

s04e48 I have talked to a few people who are very new to boating lately so I thought I would do a few videos on general boating tips, just a few simple things to help get the new guys started. I am starting off with a very simple one on Navigation marks. You will have learned these to pass your license test, but it never hurts to go over things again. One thing that particularly struck me was that everyone seemed to think they should know which side of a beacon to go on but not everyone had thought of cheating by looking at the map or GPS. If you travel somewhere regularly then you get to know the beacons but the first couple of times you really should be cheating.
