Warren Vaché feat. by WDR BIG BAND - A Walkin' Thing

Jazz trumpeter Warren Vaché joins the WDR BIG BAND to perform the musical piece "A Walkin' Thing" by composer Benny Carter in an arrangement by principal conductor Richard DeRosa. Solos are played by Jens Neufang on baritone saxophone, Frank Chastenier on piano and Warren Vaché. Produced in the dress rehearsal for the concert "It's Swingtime" at WDR Studio 4 (October 2015). Warren Vaché was lead trumpet in Benny Goodman's orchestra (1975-1985) and is known for his brilliantly clear and elegant tone not only on the trumpet, - but also on the flugelhorn and cornet. With the concert "It's Swingtime" under the direction of chief conductor Richard DeRosa, classics of that popular era of jazz are given new life.
